Is it too late to save?

Hey, I started a Coopers European Lager on the 17th of December. I let it sit and ferment out for 6 weeks. After that I transferred it to another vessel, its been sitting in it ever since as I never got the chance to bottle. Would the brew be fudged? would it be ok to bottle / keg? It...

    Coopers European Lager Review

I started this on the 17th of December, I racked it about 6 weeks later and it has been sitting there since. Would you say its still ok to bottle? or should it be flushed, it doesn't smell bad or have any oddities floating in it.

Has anyone kegged this? And if so did you wait the required 12 weeks before drinking?

    Coopers European Lager Review

Mine has been in primary for 3 weeks now, og 1.040 its now reading 1.002 - can that be right? seems quite low no? it has really cleared up as well! Had a taste, but the subtle smell of sulphur is putting me off. I think its time to transfer and get ready to bottle :)

    Corny Kegs - Different Kinds

Wow 18months, that's brilliant! I took the plunge and purchased a kit with a 23ltr keg, all I have left to get is the co2 cylinder! Probably a very stupid question but can you put less than 23ltrs into the keg? Say if I was doing a brewferm at just 9ltrs, this would still be ok to keg? Also...

    Corny Kegs - Different Kinds

Like most I love the idea of having my beer on tap! So recently I started looking into making my own kegerator, the fridge and taps are no problem but I have noticed corny kegs come in two very different styles. I just wanted to make sure either is ok, or if spare parts would be an issue in the...

    Stripped back Turbo Cider how-to

I stuck 5ltrs of this on to give it a go, I'm not a huge Cider drinker but can definitely appreciate a cold bottle on a warm summers day ( not that we get many in Ireland ). Is there any particular cider you could pair this with? Mine is bubbling away nicely now, the smell from the airlock is...

    Coopers European Lager Review

Just started this on Tuesday night, I bought it as a "Coopers Ingredient Pack" it basically came with the beer kit and 1kg of brewing sugar, with a bit of luck it turns out half decent as its my first beer!

Wow that 25ltr container on amazon is a great price! I paid €18 for one with a bung and an airlock, I could of saved myself a fortune...definitely ideal for future brews!

    What to buy

Thanks very much everyone, I purchased 1 FV without tap and 1 with - now to find the perfect "first beer to brew" :)

    What to buy

Cool so 2 x 25ltr FV's should be enough to do most kits. I have a thermometer and hydrometer from my wine kit so thats perfect. When bottling with the tapped FV did you ever get sediment coming through or is this not an issue?

    What to buy

So I'm treating myself for christmas, after doing 2 Wurzels and a wine kit I want to go down the road of brewing beer. I plan on sticking to kits and wanted to know what size of vessel would cover most kits 10ltr 25ltr or 33ltr? Also is it worth getting vessels with taps? Any help would be...

Supermarket Juice Wine How To guide and Recipes.

I shook the living daylights out of them :), but there is a possibility of some gas still in there! Can I continue degassing if I have added finings, and potassium sorbate? because I added them in without thinking of the gas :?

Supermarket Juice Wine How To guide and Recipes.

So tonight I racked my WOW, this is the first time I have done this and you'll see from the pic I lost a bit in the process :( I added a campden tablet to each PET and also added in the potassium sorbate, I'm just about to add the finings. The only thing is...should I top these up with water...
