    Milestone Donner & Blitzed Review

Got this kit the other day. FV is now empty so this will be going in. I'm going to stick to the standard ingredients only as when this was on a Wetherspoons it was absolutely gorgeous. The HBS owner said the kit tastes better than the draught. Will let you all know if this rings true.

    king kegs... ..your experiences

I have a bottom tap Keg and have put a Mexican Cerveza in. Primed with 120g sugar. Left warm for a week or so and it's at about 8 degrees. It's been left at 8 degrees for about 3 weeks. On pouring a pint it came out quite frothy. I literally turned the tap a tiny bit and it comes out half...

What type of valve is this please?

Thanks for your replies. Appears it's an S30 type then. In regards to the temperature, it's in the cellar which I imagine to be about 8-10C. I'm not sure if that's cold enough? It's still flat but produces quite a large head so I'm thinking there's not enough pressure for the CO2 to penetrate...

What type of valve is this please?

Hi guys, I have a King Keg with a beer in. It's been conditioning for around 3 weeks and tastes pretty good. When I pour a pint there's quite a big head so I believe Co2 is present. However the beer itself is quite flat so I don't think the Co2 has penetrated the liquid very well. I'm wanting to...

    Stripped back Turbo Cider how-to

It's exposure to too much oxygen that could cause your brew to go off. I've left brews in the primary for over 2 weeks and have heard of people leaving it up until 3 weeks before bottling/kegging. As long as your brew is still fermenting and you have a good seal/airlock/FV setup then oxygen...

    Stripped back Turbo Cider how-to

Left this for 15 days in primary. Cold crashed for the last 4 and it cleared up no end. Taste test 10 days after bottling and it's pretty good but bone dry. Clear as a bell. Any suggestions for sweetening this up just a little? Will topping up the drinking glass with AJ or lemonade help or is...

    Coopers, Canadian Blonde Review

Cheers slid, planning on leaving it at least 10 days, maybe nearer the 2 weeks you suggest as temp will be between 18-22 C. I believe it's an ale yeast so I wouldn't like to go any lower than 18.

    Coopers, Canadian Blonde Review

Going to brew this in a few days time, when the TC has finished in the FV. I've got the kit and brew enhancer 1. I've heard it's difficult to get the FG under 1.010 due to unfermentables. Is there anything I can add to raise the ABV by about 0.5% as the last time I did a Coopers kit it only...

    Stripped back Turbo Cider how-to

Hi all, I followed Scott's recipe except added 600g granulated sugar which in hindsight was maybe too much. The other difference was I pitched too high as the AJ had been stored by the boiler by SWMBO! Pitched at 30 C. Since then been hovering between 20-24 C. 4 days after pitching it's...
