    I brewed a wit beer going back 7 years ago and brewed wheat lager's at 60% wheat, both contained orange peel and coriander seeds. Do not use ordinary peel, it can give a metallic taste. use curaco Peel. Richard

    Do you boil in the house ?

    Sorry!!! I'm getting more confused every time i read this post! No one has stated the batch size? I don't know what is really trying to be archived? Something like a mega aroma eg. SNPA? To get mega aroma just chuck about 50-60 grams in at (0 mins)flameout and steep for 15-30 mins in a 5 gal...

    I live in Swindon and the water here is very hard, CA: is about 100-105 ppm MG:5-10 ppm, SO4 is 76 ppm, CL:38.50 and the total hardness is 270-290 CaCO3... Richard

    Lager fermentation

    Lager fermentation can be very slow, just give it time! It will form a rocky head look something like from the moon and then head will drop into the lager. Time factors on O.G, type of yeast, pitching rate, temperature and of course how well Aerated wort!!... Richard

    Go very steady if you get yeast from a brewery and store it for a week, i'm not going into it now! Best to get on the same day in a sanitised sealed container. Richard

    Getting the wort out of the kettle.

    In my old(upgrading 2bbl +) kettle i never had problem at the end, it was more at the beginning, open the ball valve nothing would happen, i had to slacken the pipe between the ball valve and the CFC to let a bit of air in and all would be fine, just the break would come out first, then i drain...
