After a works trip to the Netherlands recently they had a really nice Wiessbier on tap there imported across the border so I thought I would give one a try

I actually brewed this last weekend.

Wyeast 3333 (this was a substitute to what was ordered) made a starter which I think really helped

2.9kg pilsner
2.7kg wheat malt

30 grams Hallertau mittlefrueh 3% @ 70 mins
20 grams Hallertau mittlefrueh 3% @ 5 mins

As lucky would have it my gas tank gave up with 7 mins to go so I chucked my 5 min hops in and stuck the lid on and left it at 99 for 5 minutes.

chilled and pitched at 24 (A bit high I know) in the cool bag had it down to 18ºc quickly and the wyeast starter was off like a rocket.

Towards the end of the let the ambient temp rise to 20 and 22..

OG 1052 FG 1012

tasting drips from hydrometer it seems positive.. needs conditioning time this yeast as it can be sulphury.

Plan on scooping some of this yeast up on bottle day.

Easy peasey brew day though.
