I made a starter from 1g of dried voss and pitched one teaspoon of the slurry into my rice lager I brewed at 35c and it went from 1.048 to 1.005 in 3 days. I dried the rest but ended up cooking it to death. ooops.

One will be fine. I used the CML Voss kveik and one pkt was more than enough. Some reading on kveik yeasts even suggest seriously under pitching.
Agree with @Clint on the underpitch of the CML Voss. I've done 4 brews all between 1055 -1060 OG, used half a packet in each and had great results

And we’re off!...I do not miss my 3V system. These Braumeisters are a doddle.

Looks like a school chemistry set, my first trip out with RO.

pH is 5.25.

You can under pitch and dry or freeze the slurry indefinitely. Once you’ve bought one lot of kveik you needn’t really buy any more. So actually a billy bargain. However I’ve got several different strains and always happy to share.

Yesterday was the second time using CML Voss and both times sprinkled in 2.5g straight in and it gets to work with fury! According to the tech spec adding oxygen is unnecessary and rehydrating will lower viability, so if it keeps things simpler, why not.

Love my Braumeister! Tempted to get one of those springy coils to save tipping it at the end but don't have a pump (yet!).
