A week ago did my latest brew, a saison ...
2kg. each Maris Otter & Wheat Malt, 500g. Munich & 500g. white sugar. 90min mash at 67c dropping to 64c at end of mash. And a 30 min boil with 50g. Pearle hops.
OG of 1054 for 23lit inc. Thoub in fermenter, pitched 2 packs of Mangrove Jack Saison yeast (1 pack near sell by date) fermentation never got over 25c and now at 1.005 - 6.5%!
This would have been my 18th or 19th AG brew and I use a refractometer for OG and a 'Finishing Hydrometer' for FG.
I plan to bottle this up later this week - is that too early?
PS tastes ok - spicy, slight residual sugar, no hint of any 'funky taste'
Cheers
