I want to upgrade my kit but struggling to find small scale (I brew 1 gallon batches)

That looks pretty cool. But I think the capacity would be a bit small for me, or would need to top up with water when brewing.
I'd like to know the temp variation between the element going on and off when trying to hold a steady mash temp and how accurate/easy to set the thermostatic control is.
Not tempting enough to sway me from the gas!

I would rather have a mash tun with great insulation . I really dont like the thought of having a heating element in a mashtun, hotspots and uneven heat bother me.

I've just started using one as a boiler for extract brewing and it's perfect for that. Thermostat is v accurate & it holds a rolling boil nicely.

I'd think a modified coolbox would make a better (& cheaper) mashtun.

I'm not really sure why ACE sell it as a mash tun as it works better as a HLT / boiler IMO.
