Went to the tip today as I'm clearing out the in-laws place that we've been renovating. Sitting on top of all the **** there, just in reach, is a curver coolbox identical to this  Looks clean, smells clean, has a broken handle. Mash tun sorted
Internally, useable space is 40cm x 25cm x 30cm deep (33cm less lid) which I make to be 30L :geek: Easily enough for 5gallon brews, I believe.
I also have a roll of fibreglass loft insulation left over. Would this be good enough for inside the box insulation (replacing the **** polystyrene sheet) or would expanding foam be better? I have plenty of loft roll, so I'll make a sort of space blanket to go round it anyway.
Also, do I neet a strainer/tap system, or can I just tip the contents into a grain bag for sparging, or something? Time to get reading
