If she can't use intelligent and reasoned argument to make her point she should resign and let someone who can, have her position.
Democracy in general is at risk and her language and dismal ability to express her arguments are part of the problem. Whatever happened to common decency?

I think Democracy is at risk when you tell members here how you think she should conduct herself and if she cannot do it in that manner she should resign.

You don't need a 10,000 essay to demonstrate the current Cabinet are a bunch of dim crooks and chancers, led by a man who is more interested in the next blonde he can bed that running the country.

Really some pearl-clutching being done here IMO.

Her language was, and is, unacceptable. She is a public representative in a prominent position and her language is the thin end of a dangerous wedge. Remember the milk-shake throwing incident a couple of years ago? That was rightly condemned as an episode of violent behaviour and if we accept derogatory language now there will be an escalation until we get to a situation of physical violence replacing political debate. If she can't use intelligent and reasoned argument to make her point she should resign and let someone who can, have her position. Justifying it by saying she is "working class" insults the vast majority of people who identify the same unless to qualify you have to be boorish ignorant and thick. Do you have any thoughts about Boris's conduct, things he has said in the past - or are you more concerned about her conduct?

I have read the posts with interest ,while the labour party have nutters like Angela Rayner and her ilk ,they have no chance ,can you imagine the uproar if Priti Pratel described the labour party as Jew hating scum ?
Im going to imagine that it would be swept.under the carpet.

To what do we owe this assertion.... Well, the fact that her numerous previous transgressions have been swept under the carpet and she remains a high ranking cabinet minister.

Form guides are handy sometimes in these hypothetical situations.

Let's face it, democracy, or what we understand when we say "democracy" is naff. But what do you replace it with?
Regardless of that, democracy and freedom of speech are not he same thing.

Pity Prattel will certainly come out with that one before too long.
There will be not even a murmur, let alone an uproar.
The Express have already done it!
Anyone notice?

It's not hard to figure. They are just awful people. All of them, Johnson and Patel in particular. Lying, lazy, venal.

People may clutch their pearls online about Angela Rayner, but I suspect her words will go down OK with the GBP, much as Prescott's punch did.

The problem is that they won't go down well with the voters that Labour need to get back in order to win an election.

Conservatives like their catchy 3 word slogans.

Whilst they aren’t slogans, they are a snapshot of how I’ll remember the current government.

Called General Election
Won quite convincingly
Oven ready deal
First lie uttered
Got Brexit done
Drivers went home
Agricultural workers too
Coronavirus crisis looming
Economy is king
Super spreader events
Cheltenham Gold Cup
Liverpool European match
Crufts Dog show
Toilet roll hoarding
Skipped COBRA meetings
Lockdown too late
Travelled up north
Barnard Castle Eyesight
Rose Garden Broadcast
No protective equipment
Saw an opportunity
Used personal email
No tenders needed
Lined our pockets
Looked after mates
Donations gratefully accepted
Care home crisis
Ring of steel
Second lie uttered
They killed pensioners (sorry if this offends other forum members)
And other ages
Boris in hospital
NHS saved him
Downing Street Briefings
Following the science
Eight O’clock applause
Sunak’s furlough scheme
No school dinners
Marcus Rashford U-turn
Summer restrictions eased
Got flat decorated
Autumn crisis looming
Bodies piled high
Baroness Dido Harding
Track and Trace
Thirty seven billion
Christmas cancelled late
No New Year
Further lockdown imposed
Health service buckling
Ambulance driver shortages
Army helps out
Vaccine roll out
Traffic light holidays
Amber plus invented
Hancock F***ing useless
Closed circuit television
Got caught snogging
Groped her ****
Broke own rules
Left his wife
And kids too
Boris defended staunchly
Eventually resigned Ministry
Still Honourable Member
Whistle blower hunted
Finally Independence Day
Masks not needed
Cases still high
Greek Beach Holiday
No phone call
Afghans left stranded
National Insurance increased
Triple lock cancelled
Gas prices hiked
Carbon Dioxide shortage
Fertiliser plant subsidised
No tanker drivers
Panic buying fuel
Army called in
Got called scum

I’ll take all the criticism you can give me, if you think you can defend any of the above.

Starmer may not be great, you may not like him, but his great advantage is that he only has to be better than Johnson. And already he's just about there, he's level-pegging on "best PM" with Johnson compared to Corbyn's 27/52 vs Johnson and 23/61 vs May, it's the first time a Labour leader has not been behind on that measure for 13 years :

The problem is not the leader but the party, which is still seen as divided and trailing on economic competency - "best leader" and "economic competency" are the two critical measures :

Well we might agree to differ on that!

Have you still got an Alfa, jerry? I still (just) have my old 156.

This post!
Once I realised you can sing it to 'The 12 Days of Christmas' my day was made.

You’re right, it is singable.

I aren’t planning on rewriting it though to make it rhyme.

Not for quite a while now.
I had a 164 when the internet 'took off' and I needed a username for loads of things and it just stayed through laziness.
My first two cars were Alfasuds.

Oh dear one big hole he has dug himself this time i wonder how he will get out of it.
