August Competition - British Pale Ales, Bitters and Milds

Good morning all,

Not long now until the next monthly comp! Hopefully there will be a few entries for this category, I'm really looking forward to judging.

For a bit of fun I'll throw in a prize- the winner can select any 250g packet of hops from Crossmyloof's website (or two 100g packs if they prefer).

If you'd like to enter please send me a PM for my address :beer1:

I’ve got my first attempt at a bitter conditioning at the moment. Will give it a go and send a bottle if it comes out ok.

Not having mailed bottled beer before, how does everyone package it? Bubble wrapped, padded and boxed?
Plenty of bubble wrap, cardboard, then more bubble wrap. The postie will drop kick the thing at some point.

One bottle should be a small parcel at £3.10. Two bottles will likely be a medium parcel at £5.10 ish.

I would write ‘FRAGILE’ on the parcel and if you’re asked what is inside then just say a glass ornament or something. Pretty sure you’re not meant to send beer or wine 😬
