Decided to start making my own beer again after a 15 year lay off. Got most of my equipment together, wish I'd saved my old stuff!
Great forum, wish it was about when I first started making grain brews in about 1994.
Welcome!

Something tells me you're a fan of real ale athumb..
Got any recipes to share from back in the days?

Welcome, you will find things have changed a lot in 15 years
Enjoy again acheers.
My goodness you ain't kidding! Hi and welcome.... Realalemonster, Same here, wish I had kept all my brewing stuff from the late 1970's I had some real vintage stuff. I sold it all on ebay a while back, admittedly I got a very good price for it all, but I'd give double to get it all back. I'n my last year of brewing I've made some really good drinkable stuff, I like experimenting.... :laugh8:

Things have definitely changed! Had to learn it all through books, my best being one written by Roger Protz and someone else. Had a really old burco boiler on legs! Had a couple of modified stainless steel kegs I used on the gas hob as a boiler. Our lass was not impressed!
