picked up these bargain kits best before oct 2019. The yeast pic is from the golden one.

Could someone recommend what I should do with these. Replace yeast and hop oil?

Any yeast recommendations for the golden and hops? was thinking of re-buying dry fresh yeast and just using the tins of malt, which im sure will be fine.

ANy tips or experience on out of date kits?

Looking forward to some 20p a pint :)

Thanks.

after searching a bit I think I'm probably fine using 9 month out of date yeast?

thanks man, I'm eager so just going to go for it :) got the tins soaking now.

I personally think you'll be fine with the yeast that came with it. If in doubt, maybe make a starter with some DME and see if there's any activity.

St Peter's Golden Ale was my first ever kit and it was great!

LME ages and certainly in my experience goes darker the older it gets. That might be all you notice. But old LME can also be a bit twangy, but again you might be fine. I thought all Muntons kits were twangy anyway but that might just be a me. And the yeast should be fine and if its not you can always chuck some more in. Not sure about the hop oil though.
