Beer dispenser or straight from the keg?

Hello,
New member here! I've been looking at beer dispensers like The Sub and Philips PD and came across the direct tap kegs where you do not need a beer dispenser. Instead you take it straight from the keg with an integrated tap.

I was wondering what the benefits of having a specific dispenser are compared to just having the keg aside from the dispenser being able to keep the beer slightly cooler?

Yes, see link - just the basic 5l Heineken ones for example with the tap you plug directly on to it.
