I recently got a beer filter with a 1 micron PP string wound filter.

I made a heavily dry hopped IPA. It hardly looked any clearer after filtering :(

It did however, seem to oxidise much faster (yay?!)

Does anyone here filter their beer? If so, please enlighten me how and what you get from the process?

Thanks!

I've never filtered. The best way to get clarity without finings is cold crashing, whirlfloc tablets, and being careful to avoid the trub when you transfer. I also use hop bags so most of the hop remains are confined to the bag and don't end up in the finished beer, so you just have yeast trub to worry about. I've read that you can use gelatin as well where you put hot gelatin into the keg after transfering and then tilting the keg at an angle on the opposite side to the beer line. Then the gelatin solidifies the trub at the side of the keg so anything pulled through the beer line is clear. However gelatin isn't vegan/vegetarian friendly so I haven't tried that method yet.
