There is a YouTube video by David Heath about the hop missile I can’t seem to post the link I’m sure you can find it quite easily
Thanks @Mash Monster - I found the David Heath video. He appears to be using the top port as the entry point and the bottom as the exit which is the reverse of the Blichmann Hop Rocket instructions - is that how you do it? From the video, pellets and hulls in a hop sock appear to work well.

Hi @Wynne
I use it the other way round as recommended !
There is a later David Heath video where he discusses using it either way round and advises to try both ways to see what suits you best so to speak.

Updates - today was brew day (all safely in the fermenter now).

Used my helix with the false bottom on top of it (bit rickety but I managed). I just threw the hops in (pellet hops) with no hop spider used. It worked like a charm! The plate chiller and/or Brewzilla pump did not block at all, and the flow coming out of the pipe was just as fast at the end as it was at the beginning! Very impressed and very happy! 😁 clapa

Think you should be able to leave out the false bottom unless you need it for some other reason like keeping the bag away from the element?
.
The element is not exposed in a Brewzilla, but still not keen lol. I know this way works so will stick to it 🤘

Also I didn't use many hops this time, only 28g, so maybe with a bigger hop it might be a different story :confused.:

You are thinking the total opposite of me Rod ha ha ha! I see it like this - false bottom included - double protection! 😁

If I'm wrong no matter - I will learn as I go.
Lisa sorry to be a pain but any chance of the links for the parts you used as I understand it was a smaller hose barb than originally mentioned

This was the barb I got. The 1/2 x 8mm fits like I say but expect it to be a bit loose in the Brewzilla hole when it arrives. You may find it cheaper elsewhere but I didn't wanna mess about.

And the helix

Thanks for that Lisa and again to be a pain, when you have it installed could you take a pic to show how you have coiled it into the brewzilla
