Thanks RichardM. The tablet doesnt inhibit the yeast then.
When i'm making cider i usually add a tablet to the apple juice to kill off the unwanted nasty yeasts and then add the cider yeast 24 hours later.
I am talking about all grain brewing, so I mash the grain and then boil the wort before the yeast is added. The campden tablet has done it's stuff by then and won't affect the yeast you add for fermentation.

Ah yeah, that makes sense now. I'm new to brewing and still on kits and want to try the camden tab to see what if any difference it makes.

I like to leave it over night to allow the chlorine’s etc to boil off so to speak. It’s just planning ahead really.
