After a nice long walk with Sammy, the kids and the dog, I had a few hours spare.. Sammy having a snooze, the kids parked in front of the TV... Time to brew :thumb:

Boxing Day APA

Fermentables:
1kg Extra Light DME, dissolved and straight to FV
1.5kg Light LME, warmed in boiler and poured into FV. Remains washed out in boiler.
400g 30L Caramalt, steeped at 67*C for 30 mins

Hops:
2014 Summit 17.5%AA; 2013 Ahtanum 5.5%AA; 2014 Cascade 7.8%AA.
60Mins: 10g Summit
10 Mins: 5g each Summit, Ahtanum & Cascade, plus half a Whirlfloc
0 Mins: 10g each Summit, Ahtanum & Cascade.
Dry Hop after main fermentation: 10g Summit, 20g each Ahtanum & Cascade.

Slight draining problems from the pellets, but a scrape along the mesh sorted it

Repitched around 200ml of the (hopped) trub from the Summaht Good. As the hops are the same apart from cascade, I figured the additional flavour/aroma wouldn't hurt this brew.

19L at around 1.046 (last reading until I buy a new hydrometer )

Now I'm supping a Mulled Wine prepared by Sammy and getting ready for a quiet night in :drunk::cheers:
