Hi,

I've just pulled the trigger on a new boiler setup from Brewbuilder and wondered if anyone could tell me the size of cable gland required for the 3kw bendy LWD elements?

Looking forward to some new shiny!

Thanks all,

Jamie.

Thanks fastline, I have an m20 one ordered now anyway.

I'll be using 13a rated appliance cable, nothing specifically designed for taking heat , I'll know to change it if it melts!

You may want to fit a 15A fuse. The mains in the UK is generally somewhere between 230 and 240V depending on where you live and the demand at the time. Mine last night during a peak demand period was 235V. 3kW at 235v is 12.7A. If your supply is only a few volts lower then you risk blowing a 13A fuse. Use a short power cable with nice fat conductors and definitely do not coil it up during use.
