I booked for the club night yesterday. Copious beer at Brew Club, Clapton.

I attended last year. Overall, IMO, it was a good event but they had fairly major issues with the sound quality of the talks/presentations which made most of them inaudible unless you were stood right next to the speaker (slight exaggeration). The BrewCon organiser, Simon, has just posted a look-back at last years event and it really sounds like they've acknowledged the main issues and aim to address them this year. I had originally planned to give it a miss this year but on the strength of the positive news about the improvements planned I reckon I'll probably go again.

They've also promised to do the score sheets from the competition properly this year which is nice as I'm still waiting for some of mine from the last event.
