So what's the consus on lagering in the primary fermentation vessel? Seems to be some difference in consensus of opinion out there that you shouldn't leave on the yeast cake during lagering. Also do you want to be lagering with the headspace purged of O2 with CO2?

I can remove yeast and trub easily enough with the fermzilla but wouldn't want to do it more than once as you lose a litre every time.

Hence advantage of the hop bags you can raise out of the fermenter, closing off the collection vessel as good as taking it out if not full, but if full and more expected then empty it. Finally adjust your brew profile so that you put more in the fermenter to take account for those losses.
If you were using another fermenter ( bucket type ) and racked to secondary you'd lose more than that amount of beer.

Loss is part of a good plan, no loss is part of a bad beer plan.
