Found a new variety of Polish syrup (on offer in my tesco at £1 a bottle), so in a twist to my last TC, thought I would give this one a try

    https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9214IswqPyMRURrTm8xa2t6b0E/view?usp=docslist_api

    9L Tesco apple
    6L Lidl vitafit apple
2 x 440ml Lowicz Raspberry and Lemon syrup (will use 350ml of a third bottle to prime)
    1L strong tea
    5tsp pectolase
6g Cider yeast with sweetener (eBay special)

Warmed 4L of aj in a pan

    Made up tea

Poured rest of juices into FV, with pectolase dissolved in a cup of warm water

Poured in warm aj and tea (still hot)

Topped up with cold tap water to 25L, temp about 24deg

SG 1.040 Est abv about 5.5% (should ferment out to 1.000, plus a bit of abv from priming sugar)

Bunged on yeast, chucked in the cupboard

Down to 1.005 already, it's not hanging about 😃

A wee taste confirmed it's pretty nice but not as nice as the strawberry and Lime one I made the time before 😯

I did 7.5ml and half a tsp of sugar per 500ml bottle and that has been perfect fizz from 2 weeks to 3 months

Yeh the sweetened yeast matey... I just add water to lower the alcohol a bit to 5-6% ish

Otherwise it's a bit like falling down juice 😃

Sounds great so I'm going to give it a go next, can you tell me why first you used Tesco and Lidl apple juice??

Which one would you recommend?? Thanks

Someone suggested using different types of AJ to make a more varied appley taste..

Didn't notice any difference personally, so would just use all of the same 😊
