Hi Bri all's good this side. The missus got hers a few weeks ago as she's a day care worker for Adults with learning disabilities as well as being severe asthmatic but bar lockdown and cabin fever all good.Im still working and have done all through and an odd brew here and there.
Pity about the trip as it would have been good to meet up and have a few stout haha.

Morning all,
Up at 05:30 am as usual.
De iced the car🤬
I’ll get picks lata on, as I’m in mash, of a vers.2# NEIPA.
TO BE HONEST AS I DO, vers. 1# was a pain in the but, but learnt from the notes and the tasting.
Seem to from of set didn’t hit the numbers, (ok I don’t worry too much as I can adjust lata on)
Blummin stuck mash and low and below the sparge wasn’t to clever either.
For all grain bill w
Had rice hulls etc and a good mash in etc and slow sparge...seemed a brew day from hell.
At this stage, for ova 40 odd years brewing I wasn’t enjoying it.
Not to get p'd off more, started my version 2# notes with the grains.
Basically upped the wheat and the oats, carapils and carared was adjusted.
Base grains was spot on.
Ph was 5.4, but the SG was way off😩🤬
Found out in a nut shell, the colour needed more hazy, and HOP HEAT was deeing my heed in....it mellowed out.😂🤔
But today, I’m enjoying it pH 5.4, pre boil SG 1.055.
And I’ll look at post volume when I’ve finished sparging.
On a good note lads think I finally got the water treatment spot on.....it’s a godsend using BrewfaTher app.
(Still play we BeerSmith as you do)
Anyways of the check things, first time in a long time I’m doing a 90 mash and 90 min boil, why? Coz I can😂👍👍
Update lata.
Keep safe.
