Wasted a batch the other day..wasn’t happy with the Nottingham yeast.. so chucked the contents oot the keg.🤬
But back on it this morn, Irish stout from David Heaths recipe.
Apart that it’s all quiet in the northern front.

All well here Bri, i have had both jabs so should be fine even though its all doom and gloom in the local rag about covid increase round here, i am keeping my head down and getting on with stuff, no need to take risks now after 18 months of not doing so.

You know how long i struggled with hose fittings etc....????
Its back again.
Before i end up online shopping (normally end in disaster!!!)

As i would like to use my old counterflow chiller (again!)

Ive tried to look online for a blue silicone hose...only saw 1m lengths...then my 🧠 Pete Tong.
as you know i wear 'THINKING BLINKERS!' AND I DON'T SEE THE OBVIOUS.
Anyone have visual photo and links i can have to maybe attaches these???


Sorry for a novel, and maybe confusing..:rolleyes:
Any help would be mint....

Hello mate - If I was doing this, I'd do it like this:

(1) find a metre or two of old hose from somewhere

(2) remove the female connector from the end of your silver hose

(3) add the new bit of hose to your silver hose using one of these hose repair connectors:

(4) put the female connector you took off the silver hose, onto the end of the new bit of hose

(5) join the two hoses using one of these male-to-male connectors:
