This is about what my better half thinks, lol.
Sounds about right!
SWMBO often moans about the amount of time i spend on here and other sites she likes the soaps and guff like that and i hate them so we rarely watch together, i tend to record what we both like so we can watch when we choose.
I have the opposite problem... My wife informed me on Friday that I needed to brew by Monday at the latest, as she needs more spent grain for dog biscuits..... So she went and bought me more empty bottles so I have somewhere to put the beer....
Weighed the grain out yesterday, and will sort the water today.... lmao
She doesn't moan about me making stuff for her to drink but does about the amount of time I spend on here.
Me: tablet, THBF
Master of the Blue Horizons: tablet, Candy Crush, Crossy Road, Jewel Slide etc etc.
Tranquility reigns in our house.
Don't knock SWMBO's love of soaps! It's the only time of an evening when I can have a bit of peace and quiet!
Here's a sobering tale for others.
A mate of mine hated "Crossroads" which was a soap made famous for its crass storylines and shaky sets.
It was back in the early 70's when "Remotes" started to come into fashion, so flush with the money from a recent promotion, said mate went and got his wife a new Radio Rentals colour TV as a surprise.
On the basis that it was a surprise he was home alone when the Radio Rental guy came to the house to install and demonstrate the new TV, along with the Remote; which my mate decided to hide!
For two weeks, whenever Crossroads came on TV the signature tune went "Bong, Bong, Bong, Bongbongab ... click" as he switched the TV to another channel. No matter how many times his good wife went to the TV to change the Channel back to Crossroads, it jumped to another Channel and my mate was happy.
Because it was a present, his wife obviously didn't want to complain about the fault to her husband so she was alone in the house when the Radio Rentals man came to fix the "problem" and asked to see the Remote! The Remote was eventually found down the side of my mates chair, so the nice man from Radio Rentals explained to the good lady exactly how it worked.
My mate went home from work later that day and discovered that he was to sleep in a different bedroom for the foreseeable future and (much worse) had to sit though every episode of Crossroads from thereon!
