I recently brewed this:

4kg Vienna
0.6kg pilsner

10g Polaris @ 60 min
10g Saaz @ 5 min

Wyeast 2124 Bohemian lager

23 litre batch, ~85% efficiency.

I wanted to make a lager but my fermentation fridge was full, so I fermented at room temperature, this was just before the heat wave. I drank it over the weekend and it was really good. Malty, with some caramel, bready and nut flavours along with a crisp bitterness.

I have my doubts about this yeast. I made a Czech style pils with it and whilst nice, it lacked body and the flavours were "curbed" somewhat. As a "steam" style lager this yeast does way better. I think this is the same as w-34/70 but I've actually had better results with the dry yeast when making lagers. Considering it wasn't temp controlled Wy-2124 is definitely as resilient as w-34/70!

I think I'll reserve this yeast for cali-common type beers, I have a couple of WLP lager yeasts to try out so it will be interesting to see how they compare.
