So recently I have massively reduced free time (just had a baby) so I'm using canned malt extract. I got some extra grain though to try and mask the 'tinny' taste. How long do you guys think I should boil the grain for and at what temperature?

Cheers

First of all what grain/s have you got?.
Base malt will need to be mashed, others such as crystal, black etc etc can be steeped.

As chub1 said, you don't boil grain you mash or steep it in hot water.

Also, it won't mask any off flavours. I find liquid malt a bit hit n miss, most of the time it's fine but sometimes you get the twang, which does subside with time.
