I am brewing Belgian Wit recipe which calls for crushed chamomile flowers, anyone know if it is okay to use chamomile tea as a substitution for this?

I would think chamomile tea is made from parts of the dried chamomile plant, so I would asume it would be ok. I drink chamomile tea all the time. I normally buy asda's own and it doesnt list the ingredients so I assume it's just dried chamomile plant in the tea bags

Here in the states I use Celestial Seasonings chamomile tea bags.

Made a gallon of mead once putting 12 of these in the gallon in secondary. Best mead I ever made.

All the Best,
D. White
