Hi all!

Im new here, and generally new to brewing.

I want to brew some proper cider, not from a kit.

But I'm shot of a press for the apples!

I'm really looking for a cheap, decent, solid press - doesnt have to be big.

I was looking at that, it seems ideal for the price. But I'm new to this - so am wondering what you guys think to it?

Cheers!

There is a thread around somwhere from a few weeks ago posted by Jonnyv about making cider from scratch, i'll try to dig out a link, it may be of use :thumb:

I've got the press listed above, but from a different seller
It's solid, well built and does soft fruit very well, however...apples need to be well mashed prior to pressing and so does anything remotely firm, ie firm grapes.

Cheers :),

I may get it. I have a decent sized food processor so it might be what I'm looking for!

I'm brewing with a kit at the moment so will see how that goes :)

Nick
