Hi

What would I be checking on the juice label to make sure it doesn't contain preservatives

I'm going to be stocking up at the weekend for wow recipes

Thanks in advance

It should list preservatives in the ingredients.

100% juice (no preservatives ) will say drink within 4 days of opening or something similar.

This is the stuff you need to avoid, this is from a bottle of Ribena.

Ingredients
Water, Blackcurrant Juice from Concentrate (32%), Sugar, Thickener (Polydextrose), Acidity Regulator (Sodium Gluconate), Acid (Citric Acid), Vitamin C, Extracts of (Carrot and Hibiscus), Flavourings, Preservatives (Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Bisulphite), Sweeteners (Acesulfame K, Sucralose)

Potassium Sorbate is the really bad one. It's used in wine making to stop a fermentation so you obviously don't want to be adding it at the start of a brew.
