Received a packet of gervin gv13 cider yeast in post yesterday so itching to try my first ever cider brew. I will probably follow the tried and trsted forum TC recipe but a couple of questions if i may.

1. Do same rules re temperature control apply as beer or would it be a bit more tolerant to fluctuations?

2. Does the 2 plus 2 plus 2 mantra apply equally to cider or can anything be short circuited?

Cheers

I gather it's a bit more tolerant to temperature though I've kept mine in a brew fridge anyway. Not too cold is probably a good idea as you don't want it stalling.

2+2+2 should work equally well for cider but there's nothing to stop you drinking it as soon as it's carbed.

Not too much chance of my brew-cave getting too cold anytime soon.
