Cider tasting day

So it came to the weekend for me to try my cider. Found out that the drops you can put into the bottles that 2 drops makes it way to fizzy.
Also they is not really much of taste which is ashame and I did it with less water then it recommended so I was hoping for more stronger flavour.
The smell of it is that really that good as well.

So just wondering.
. Any tips to make the cider taste more like apples.
. Is it normle for homebrew cider to smell alittle weird.

I quite like knocking up a load of turbo cider for me and any visitors, cider yeast tends to give it a bit more flavour but it does tend to come out a bit dry and lacking an appley taste.

I have thought about adding some more flavour somehow but I like it and the guests guzzle it down so have never bothered.
