Here is my new SS setup which I started a brew in before Christmas. I started the cold crash yesterday and when I checked on it today I remembered I had read on here about sanitiser being sucked up the blow off tube. I removed the tube from the sanitiser and liquid glugged out. I also released the pressure from the valve on the top.

So my question is if sanitiser has been sucked into the fermenter how much of an issue is it? I don’t think it would have been much if it did happen.

Hi!
What sanitiser did you use? It's probably not going to be a problem.
For future reference, cooled boiled water is enough for your blow- off tube. The CO2 coming from the FV will kill anything that is unlikely enough to get past the water.

Well i've gone and done it again! Went away for a couple of days during a crash chill and its sucked up no-rinse sanitiser. When will I learn?! Hopefully it wont have ruined the batch.
