Hi, I would like to move to a closed transfer of IPA from my Brewtech chronical to my Corny Keg. The barb on my racking arm is 1/2 inch, the fitting on my ball lock disconnect is for a 1/4 inch FFL for which there are straightforward common John Guest fittings to a 3/8 tube. But I want to connect a 1/2 ID tube.
Can't see a John Guest that will do this - does the push-fit system not work at 1/2 inch (accepting that it's the OD that's important here)?
Have managed to track down simple tube connectors in the Malt Miller and hoping they would work but would not a 1/4 inch FFL fitting with a 1/2 inch barb on the Corny be a better solution? Trouble is, although widely available in the US for a couple of dollars, can't track one down in UK.
So has anyone got any ideas for fittings that would either allow me to have a hose barb for 3/8 line on a chronical, or a 1/2 inch barb on a Corny?
