Dolium kegs

Folks,

Just wondering if anyone has managed to dismantle a Dolium keg?

Is the valve push fit or screw in?

May attempt a dissection, but access to freebies is limited and I don't want to wreck a potential keg.

Did you manage to get into the Dolium Keg?

Last night I scrounge 4 X 30 litre kegs of this variety.

I only want to use them as fermentation vessels, but need to get the spear out of them and be able to wash them out etc.

I was thinking of putting a rubber Bung with a trap into the top, if the valve is drillable.

I've already depressurised them.

This is a 4 year old thread and forumite colonel porter hasnt visited the forum since sept last year. So I'm not sure you'll get an answer. At least from the OP
