Today around 10AM/Central USA our server host Digital Ocean, one of the largest server hosts, alerted to us that our servers were under a DDOS attack. We fully disagree that they were. Still investigating but don't show any evidence of it. Our host then took these servers offline until they felt it was over even despite multiple Support contacts. This was very frustrating for us so this week we plan to start using Cloudflare. We will switch over when traffic is very low so you should not notice but Cloudflare should help prevent them or anyone else ever claiming this again. Sorry for the downtime! We try very hard to keep forums working and it is very frustrating when out of our control.

I also asked about impact for the members during the going behind the Cloudflare and here's what I was told:

"no downtime will happen and users will not need to do anything"
