Draught Bass Bitter from BYOBRA

I've always been intrigued by pale ales that have no late hops. I bought a bottle of Bass from ASDA (at the same time as a bottle of Young's Special Ale for bottle culturing) as it was only £1. I really enjoyed it, so my first beer with the Youngs strain will be the Bass recipe from BYOBRA (although I plan on making a lighter version by lowering the OG to 1.037 and keep everything else the same in proportion).

Anyone made this from GW's recipe? Accurate? What did you think?

Bass stopped making it a while back. Marston's were (are still?) making it (https://www.petebrown.net/2018/11/12/bass-ale-is-back-i-wish-i-was-more-delighted/). Never had the recent stuff, only the old stuff when Bass was Bass (a long time ago).

Yes, I was aware Bass no longer make the beer. Whether it tastes like the original, I have no idea. But I enjoyed the stuff Marstons make

"Back in the day" I would always prefer Marsden's Pedigree over "second best" Bass. But in bottles Marsden's was (still is?) muck.
