Just started an elderflower with Lalvin D47. The Homebrew Shop says it's 'an excellent choice for dry whites'. Only using 2.25lbs sugar, aiming for quite a dry wine, it will be interesting to see the difference between that and my 'usual' elderflower (Lalvin 1118 and more sugar).

Noticed a large honeysuckle bush on a public road recently, might pootle down and see if I can get the 4 pints required!

Pootled (see previous post) nice sunny day here.

2 pints honeysuckle flowers
8 pts water
1kg sugar (to start)
1 Campden Tablet
100ml Grape Juice Concentrate
2 teasp Citric Acid

Yeast, Nutrient and Tannin go in tomorrow, when I will check the O.G.

A visit to your house must be an iteresting prospect wynott.

I am making Fuchia wine this year,I thought this years late cold had killed it off,But no it seems alive and well.

.....not if you tasted my latest batch of drain-cleaner, aka Citrus wine (horrible overpowering grapefruit taste) :vomitintoilet: - but I guess it depends on what you count as 'Interesting' !!

(Last year's) Marigold is very much to my taste, so that goes on the A list.
