Hi,
My hlt has started leaking at the element. The collar that holds it in place is old and worn and won’t fully tighten. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement, or even better the metal nut that I have on my boil pot?
Cheers
M

Can you take the collar off and measure the diameter and get a brass backnut in that size, if the threads are standard size? Seem to be available in screwfix/toolstation in inch sizes

Yeah I got the collar off and I tried a brass nut from screwfix. I reckon it’s not a standard thread as the new nut doesn’t quite fit. I’ll keep looking and if all else fails I’ll have to buy another element. Thanks for the help.

Angel home brew has a lock nut listed. Just search nut from their home page. The description says it is M40 x 1.5

Cheers chaps that’s really helpful. I’ll take a look at the both.
Thanks

Had a look in the shed and I have a couple of lock nuts the same as your picture of your boil pot. They came off some old elements (I save the parts just in case).
If you PM me your address I will stick one in the post.
