So. Here was me trying to upscale a small 9ltr recipie to 18ltrs so i could keg it (i have a 9.5ltr small corny) and bottle what was left...

I should have known that leaving the bottom tap open on my brewdevil while filling my strike water was a bad sign...

It got worse. During the mash i forgot to switch off the recirc pump and removed the pipe...oops covered in sticky wort...

Ah yes then i got the programming wrong and the hop additions timer was wrong i panicked more and resorted to a manual approach. Managed to get about 12ltrs into my small conical fermenter.

SG was a disaster at 1040. Recipie said 1053 start. But that was on the original batch size....

Finally 8 days later when i think the brew didnt even start....i take tge lid off realise the airlock tube was just below the surface of the liquid. Needless to say i pulled it up a bit and of course its now still bubbling....

Just a 'pale' now i think as opposed to my ipa intentions..

What a plank.

I shall measure the gravity tomorrow 😅
