Can someone please come up with a good definition of 'Vorlauf' and the correct spelling? How does it differ from sparging.

Undt, vy are all zie brewing terms German?
 
DWE - dried wheat extract - aids head retention and used in wheat beer recipes.

GS - golden syrup - partially inverted sugar. poor mans candi sugar.
 
Good point but if we did that members won't see new posts highlighted as such, I don't know if that would be an issue, I think the thread will run its cause before the limit kicks in.
 
can't believe this isn't in.....

IPA - Indian pale ale - originally a beer brewed to survive long sea voyages, nowadays could be anything with more hops than a lager.

NEIPA - New England IPA
DDH - Double Dry Hopped
PB pressure barrel
ABV alcohol by volume
DME / LME dry/liquid malt extract
IBU International bittering unit
