Just wondered what the point of this is, are we supposed to put breweries we recommend people try? I assume your not trying to have a complete list of all UK breweries.

It was discussed in another forum it started with brewery tours but as that would be quite limiting it was suggested members could post details about local breweries etc to be honest anything beer related can go on (within reason) so if members have a local HBS they would recommend or a favourite pub serving their favourite beers post it.

As this thread has stalled i have changed the title to - Forum Member Local Home Brew shop and Brewery Thread, if you have a local home brew shop and would like it adding review it here.

Binghams Brewery - Twyford

https://binghams.co.uk/

Binghams tours last around 2 hours and include:

  • 3 pints of real ale
  • A Binghams pint glass to take home
  • The history of the brewery and director Chris Bingham's brewing background
  • The ingredients that go into beer
  • The process that the ingredients go through to become beer
  • A walk around the brewery to see all the equipment and casks used in the brewing process
Binghams Doodle Stout... :beer1:

Can we have farm cider (scrumpy) places as well as I'm always on the look out for these?

We got the beer for our wedding from here (they've grown a bit since):

Sadler's Brewery

Station Drive

Stourbridge
West Midlands DY9 8ER

https://www.sadlersales.co.uk/

Great beer. Haven't done the brewery tour or visited the brewhouse but sounds like it's becoming quite a venue.

I think this map thing will be useful reference when visiting a new area - as a drinker and homebrewer, what might I be interested in checking out...

The Home Brew Shop
Unit 3, Hawley Lane Business Park, 108 Hawley Lane, Farnborough, Hampshire, GU14 8JE

Very well stocked shop. Lots of kits, grains, yeasts, hops and equipment always in stock.

Yes anything home brew related that will be of use to other members.

Okay, my two local dealers ;)

Hartlands Cider & Perry
Tirley Villa
Tirley
Gloucestershire

https://en-gb.facebook.com/ciderandperry/

Cider and Perry blended to your requirements, they usually have dry and sweet so will mix for a medium. Probably sell you some eggs and stuff too. Generous samples.

Clive's Fruit Farm

https://clivesfruitfarm.co.uk/juice-shed/

Home to Wobblejuice (draught cider) as well as some bottled stuff.

Following on from my mention earlier on another thread

Beautiful Beers

Bury St. Edmunds
Suffolk IP33 1SQ

http://www.beautifulbeers.co.uk/

Over 450 bottled beers, draft to take away and a great selection of home brew supplies and ingredients.

The other local to me is:

The Happy Brewer

They live in a conservatory at the garden centre. They moved out of the centre of Bedford, stock the grainfather and accessories, just off the A1.
