If you would like to add a brewery or a local home brew shop to the map post its location in this thread with a review or any details you can provide i will then add a marker naming the member etc.

There is an option to add your own marker to the map but could i ask members not to as i then have to check back to make sure there is nothing that breaks the
rules in the description etc before approving it.

The new map is here - https://www.zeemaps.com/map?group=2897341

How to use the map -

Click on a brewery name in the list on the right or move your cursor onto a marker on the map and the brewerys, location and will appear.

View map - https://www.zeemaps.com/map?group=2897341

Zoom using the mouse wheel or +/- bottom right corner. (click anywhere on the map to enable mouse wheel zoom)

For mobiles - If you click on the three line icon top left corner of the phone screen the drop down will have an option for "list" click it and an A - Z of names will appear, click on any name you want to view and you will see their location and avatar then click "centre map" to show their location on the map.

Hogs Back Brewery
Manor Farm, The Street, Tongham, Farnham, Surrey GU10 1DE

Very popular local brewery with beers sold in a number of pubs and readily available in supermarkets across the South East. Produce 18 "regular" beers, lagers and ciders supplemented by specials throughout the year. Traditional English Ales are the main focus but these are well executed - good flavour, body and carbonation. The brewery is well set up for tours, with a guided discussion and plenty of sampling (don't drive there!). Tours need to be booked in advance and current cost is £15 per person. A well stocked beer shop selling beers from around the world is on site too.

The Crafty Brewing Company
Thatched House Farm, Dunsfold Road, Loxhill, Godalming, Surrey GU8 4BW

Relatively new micro brewery, currently producing six main beers. Appear to have a penchant for biscuit malt, and the Loxhill Biscuit is very good indeed. No tours available and beers only really for sale very locally but worth grabbing if you see them.

The Little Beer Corporation
Building 3, 14-15 Midleton Road, Guildford, Surrey GU2 8XW

Interesting micro brewery producing some modern beer styles and pushing the boundaries of innovation at times. Something of a community brewery, owned by local shareholders and often calling in people to lend a hand peeling grapefruits or juicing oranges. Host various open days and brewery tours. Full recipes and brewing instructions for their beers are available on the website. Beers generally available in supermarkets and beer shops in the area and also sell online.

I would suggest not limiting to those breweries that only do tours. If I'm visiting a new area, I'd like to know what is genuinely local and be able to keep an eye out for it. :thumb:

Established in 1982 changed hands in Septer 2017 and opened a tap room in December. Lovely couple running it doing a good range of traditional cask beers. Even gave me a quick brewery tour when I went for a pint. 10BBL capacity.

Do only 3 core beers and 2 seasonal beers most with hops only grown on the farm there. All very traditional English cask beers, they have a 10BBL setup but can do larger batches of the lower ABV beers.

Local(ish) to me;

Firehouse Brewery (incorporating Fulstow Brewery)
Founded in January 2014, Firehouse Brewery was previously founded in the village of Manby on part of the site of the former RAF station. In October 2016 relocated in to Thames Street Brewery in Louth
The 2 bbl barrel plant is owned and operated by Jason Allen and Louise Darbon. Jason a keen brewer since the age of 8 years old with his first experience making Alcoholic Ginger Beer which after a week, the bottles unexpectedly exploded in his Dad's shed!
Louise joined the business as a partner in 2016 and looks after the marketing and customer relations as well as brewery assistant!
In October 2016 we purchased Fulstow Brewery and now continue to brew their unique ales, where these ales and more can be sampled in our very own brewery bar "The Gas Lamp Lounge"

Wantsum Brewery
St Nicholas At Wade, Birchington CT7 0PA .

They have a nice taproom, open Friday, Saturday and Sundays with some decent beers on offer, at reasonable prices (£3 a pint for their whole range iirc). I particularly recommend their "Montgomery" and "1381". Keykegs available to those with the gear to dispense, or bottles of course.

Thought it would be good to add in a few more breweries that I know of - not visited any of these so info taken from websites.

Tillingbourne Brewery
Old Scotland Farm, Staple lane, Shere, Surrey, GU5 9TE

Nestled in an area of outstanding natural beauty, the Tillingbourne Brewery has an enviable location well off the beaten track and close to the picturesque village of Shere. Its name was taken from the short river which starts as a spring on Leith Hill and meanders through the heart of the Surrey Hills villages. A river in steeped in history and famous for the production of Gunpowder.

Housed in two barn style buildings, the Brewery has a delightful courtyard feel and plenty of character. We currently have three 17 barrel (68 casks) fermenters which enable us to brewery 4896 pints of ale per week.

Shop on site.

Surrey Hills Brewery
Denbies Wine Estate, London Road, Dorking RH5 6AA

The Surrey Hills Brewery is located in the heart of the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty at the foot of Box Hill. The Brewery is in the rear part of the beautiful Denbies Winery Building which has been converted into a perfect brewing environment that is hygienic and safe. Significant investment in new purpose-built equipment enables the highest levels of quality control.

Standard tour - An opportunity to try three of our beers whilst our tour guide talks you though the history of the Brewery, the brewing process and usually a couple of bad jokes.

Detailed tour - The brewing process is discussed in more depth on this tour and there is plenty of beer to drink.

Dartmoor Brewery
Station Road, Princetown, Devon PL20 6QX

At Dartmoor Brewery we love making great beer. Pure and simple.

Our great beers come from a passion for the brewer's craft, and a passion for our birthplace and home, Dartmoor National Park.

We use only the finest ingredients in our traditiional craft ales. English hops, local malts, our own strain of yeast, and clear, pure Dartmoor Water.

As England's highest brewery, at 1465ft above sea level, we are also well placed to enjoy the benefits of clean, fresh Dartmoor, and stunning Dartmoor views in every direction - both of which, we think, add a certain touch of magic to our brews.

Dartmoor Brewery was established in Princetown in 1994 by award-winning brewer Simon Loveless and local businessman in humble premises behind the Prince of Wales pub. Our first beer, Jail Ale (brewed within 800 metres of the infamous Dartmoor Prison) is a consistent award-winner to this day, and has been joined by a full range of superb craft ales including Legend, Dartmoor IPA and Dartmoor Best.

Today we have a state-of-the-art purpose-built brewery complex, but still based very firmly in Princetown, our birthplace.

Today, we employ 20 people, and we brew over 3 million pints of beer each year. These fine ales are enjoyed in fine places throughout the South West, and increasingly further afield as more and more ale drinkers want to enjoy a taste of Dartmoor wherever they might live.

This is a small Restaurant with an in house brewery. They do one day home brew courses. I did one and thoroughly enjoyed it.
