I can’t believe I’m watching this.

What hope do we have when the Transport Secretary doesn’t know the details of the reduced timetable he signed off?

And, by extension, this means he is unaware of the misery he has inflicted on millions of passengers. Nowhere near good enough.

Another demonstration of how the current political system is completely broken.

Instead of the department being led by someone who has tangible experience and knowledge with transportation it is led by a a career politician that will move on as soon as they can progress further up the ladder.

It's literally his job to know this stuff but the bottom line is he probably isn't remotely interested in transportation. It's just a means to an end for him.

You see exactly the same with people like Nadine Dorries, who clearly hasn't a clue about Culture, Media or Sport.
