Placing a £40 order on Brew to Brew2Bottle Homebrew I arrived at checkout to find shipping cost to +£15. B@B were very good and waived the charges explaining they were having issues with a new shipping system.
I placed another order for £40 again, again I have been asked to stump-up +£15 for shipping. So far I have had no response from B2B and have not completed the order.
However..., Looking for some alternatives I came across Gozdawa on eBay, a Polish producer who have some very interesting kits at very reasonable prices, so I thought I would share.
If anyone has tried these kits I would be interested to know how they turned out. I have ordered and Alt Bier version. Some of kits types are simply not available form UK suppliers.

Looks interesting, the Belgian Xmas ale would be on my list 👍
Shame they don't give an estimated ABV on the kits.
Nice find though

I've never used the Gozdawa kits, so maybe this response is irrelevant to the question, but I have used their DME and found it to be probably as good as anything else. Nothing negative to say anyway.

How`s the Alt Bier turned out - I have the Belgian Xmas Ale fermenting at the moment - 14 days and still bubbling !!
I used 500 g of Dark Candy Suger, 500g Dextrose, 1 kg table suger as per instructions - it`s just tipped 6% and rising
Cheers Jon

The Altbier smells great, it is currently conditioning.

Have not tried their kits - but they did sell on UK Fleabay for a while....
I did try their Altbier yeast, (again Fleabay) and yes it was reasonably "characterful" , but it did stop slightly higher than I expected making the beer slightly less dry than I really wanted.

I ordered yesterday £51-47 free delivery
Yes good kits, great value. I am ordering Wheat beer next.

yes mine stopped at 1.2

Here's my notes on the Xmas Belgian Trappist Ale
40 pint kit
0.5 kilo Candied Dark Suger
0.5 kilo Dextrose
1.0 kilo table suger
Made yeast starter then pitched at 25.8c
Ferment at 23 to 25 C
SG 1.053 12.12.20
Estimated ABV 5.64 % if finishes at 1.010
27.12.20 still fermenting
Gravity reads 1.007
29.12.20 Gravity 1.006
31.12.20 FG 1.005 6.3%
Kegged and Bottled 31.12.20

Had a taste out the fermenter when bottling, it's very promising 😁😁

I put the Belgian Xmas Ale away to condition recently. I bottled some and also filled a Corny. Currently both in cold storage. Had a taste out of the keg yesterday, complex and full bodied.
Think I might try the Altbier next.
Did you brew yours with liquid malt extract, brewing suger, or household.
I have got a kg of mangrove Jack's malt extract and some brewing suger which I'm thinking would be good??
Cheers Jon

I used Liquid Malt Extract. It is conditioning right now and I will try in the next week the week or two.

I have also just tried the Weissen kit, I used hefeweizen liquid yeast I bought some for another kit, (made a starter from the and slurry have enough for several kits now) but this time with 1kg of brewing sugar. I made it short at 20 liters as I intend to add 1kg to 1.5kg (advice anyone?) of raspberries. After checking on various forums I vacuum packed the rasps and will pasteurise them. I will rack the wort after fermentation the add the rasps and leave for another two weeks. Then batch prime and bottle, leave in the warm for two weeks, then condition for 6 weeks. A long process. I might have my C-19 vaccine by then, you never know :)

@thrums1 good luck with the brew, and good luck with the jab 👍👍
Yes, the MJ 1.2kg LME will be used instead of 1 kg of suger, should do the trick. And will prime with Dextrose.

You can order the Gozdawa kits through eBay with free postage. The kits are about 3-4 quid dearer. Yes, I've have issues on the website with charging £15 for stuff that could have been put in a jiffy bag and sent by royal mail

Did the Gowdawa Amber Bock with 500g Demerara sugar and 500g dark muscovado sugar. Superb beer
