Good stuff. Which kit are you thinking?

Just a wilkinsons kit i think, proof of concept sort of thing to the people i am now living with as they have no experience of brewing yet.

My main issue will be fermentation temperature control as it will have to be done in my room and the temperature in here changes massively this time of year
 
I've been having great success with a simple DIY bain marie. Once dialled in it's kept my FV at a steady 19C for 3 weeks in subarctic conditions (unheated utility room) with no adjustment after about day 2, but it's not everyone's cup of tea.
 
@BrotherMalice Yes, exactly that. After the initial faffing around (due to my own inexperience) it's been fantastic.
