A few pictures of the Malting process. I will write it up if anybody is interested. I've been meaning write it up from the notes, but I just seem to keep running out of time for anything at present.

You can get some interesting stuff to grow out of bird seed mix!
My dad had a spectacular plant about a meter tall with great big yellow flowers..I googled it and found it to be a south American plant called something like Devils Trumpet and deadly poisonous! A bit of unleaded soon fixed it!

I know you haven't posted for over six months but... Can you tell us what your mass loss was between threshed and malted? This is something I intend to do so would be interested to know what can be achieved.

You can hope @Polcho replies but "last seen" says "Feb 23, 2023"?

Meanwhile. If you have deep enough pockets (£18?) there's:

The book (book ... let!) is pretty interesting (I have it) or there's his Blog (not updated in last twelve months):

Thanks, it's a shame the book(let) is so expensive for it's size. I paid about that much for Lars Marius Garshol's traditional brewing techniques which is significantly meatier.

I just found, by pure coincidence searching for home malting, that he has a YouTube channel!
