My Mrs says the same thing about my wine. Perhaps homebrew is cleaner?

I dunno about wine but I've had some nasty hangovers from my own beers

My advice is know your drink and know your limit. I rarely seem to get a hangover when drinking homebrew compared to commercial stuff, would be interested in other members opinion on why this is, I put it down to savouring the taste rather than tanking it down because you're stuck in a round.
