I'm aiming for my next batch of red wine to have a full body and hopefully some oakiness to its character.

I've noticed that the only kits that boast of these results (together with a more than decent 13.5% ABV) are the high end kits that cost over £100 (such as Winexpert Eclipse Premium).

Is there anything you can do or add to a more modestly priced kit to achieve a similar result?

Thanks guys!

Hi Babs, I have tried the white grape powder and it does work. But I found it really harsh, it needs a long time to mature. Even after nine months it made me Gurn. I have tried it instead of grape concentrate in vegetable wines and it is not a patch on raisins or concentrate.
Maybe I was expecting too much from it?
