Greetings everyone. After a couple of happy years of brewing with kits I’m finally making the move to all grain. Son no.2 gave me an IPA kit for Christmas and the next step is get the essential kit to turn it into something fermentible.
Looking forward to making lots of pale ales, wheat beers and stouts, depending on the time of year.

Welcome Alastair. In Newtownabbey myself, moved from kits to all grain this time last year and am loving it. My first couple of all grains weren't great but since then they just keep getting better as I get better used to it.

Hi Laurence. I suspect my experience will be something similar! Planning to do more frequent smaller batches to begin with. I should get the IPA up and running next weekend

Just treat it as another brewday though time and clean up are certainly a lot more but we'll worth it in the end.
