Hiya, I'm Dave, 49 yesterday, living in Portishead nr Bristol. I'm a relative newby with brewing, I've done a couple of AG recipes, a few extract+ kits. I've got a basic 3 vessel set up, trying not to get starry eyed about all the lovely SS kit out there!
I'm currently brewing a "Rob's Twisted Stout" from MM... Fermenting in a big mouth bubbler and the bloody top popped off after the yeast went nuts and blocked the airlock. My first blowout! It was still under active fermentation so I think I'll be ok. One more week in the FV before I bottle it. I'm going to make sure there's a tap on each of my Buckets and one on the BMB too to eliminate syphoning off to bottle bucket.
I have gotten a beer loving mate involved and we (now lockdowns are waning) be hoping to do a brew day a month in the garage/garden, weather dependent.
